The owner and founder, Dennis Mundy, has been committed both professionally and personally to working with community and corporate organizations to gain the skills and structures to make high risk environments – primarily around recreational activities, safe and manageable.
A defining characteristic of exceptional training is the ability of a trainer to not only possess the practical knowledge to training in specific fields but also that the training be imparted by a person who can ‘teach’ and impart confidence in the trainees to achieve beyond the course itself. Dennis Mundy is such a person.
A summary of Dennis’ professional experience is as follows:
- Over 20 years experience in Life Guarding and Emergency care provision in New Zealand
- 18 years experience as New Zealand Professional Life Guard – Senior Life Guard instructor & examiner.
- 13 years experience Head Professional Life Guard Mt Maunganui Beaches
- Auckland area Life Guard development officer establishing emergency care and practical assessment criteria
- 17 years Secondary school teacher Biology and Physical Education with current registration.
- Curriculum Development advisory member Victoria Royal Life Saving Australia
- One of only 6 Advanced Life Guard Award recipients in NZ
- Aquatic Paramedic Award (1999)
- SLS NZ Instructor, and Examiner Qualified
- New Zealand Resuscitation Council Level 3 Accredited Instructor
- Advanced Life Guard Award
- Aquatic Paramedic Award (1999)
- Surf Lifesaving Bay of Plenty member of the Lifeguard Advisory Group
TRAINERS
All Trainers are industry qualified and have practical experience in areas such as: medical training, paramedic or emergency care response, lifeguard and lifesaving and other fields of rescue delivery ie: Search and rescue, mountain safety, risk management
