SURF LIFE SAVING FIRST AID AND PHEC COURSES

Lifeguards are expected to operate in one of the most demanding environments in order to help prevent injury of loss of life.

Such environments bring unique challenges only lifeguards can understand – what’s it like to pull someone from the surf barely responding, then reassure and care for them whilst you yourself are near complete exhaustion? We know because we are Lifeguards. Dennis Mundy and many of his training team are experienced and current Lifeguards hailing from the Northern and Eastern Regions of NZ with collectively over 100 years’ experience between them.

Our onsite courses take these challenges into account, creating an exciting, very practically filled range of courses with the risks and demands of the Lifeguards key roles as the main focus of all courses.

Our entire courses walk the talk, and no course is more important than the other- so be prepared to use an extensive amount of equipment and be prepared get wet!!

Pacific Medicare is NZQA accredited for unit standard assessment however our main focus is still on the client’s needs. Whether it be performing CPR on the sand (SLS L1), or managing a suspected spinal injury from the water and onto the beach (SLS L3 (PHEC)), Pacific Medicare staff work directly alongside the lifeguards to ensure the learning experience is the best that can be provided.
